Stonewood School North is now hiring part time float staff to work in our licensed center located between the towns of Shelburne and South Burlington for the 2019-2020 school year. Our school currently holds a 4 Star rating, is a prequalified preschool program under Act 166, and is a specialized care provider. We will be working towards a 5 Star rating and NAEYC accreditation 2019-2020!


Our center currently has seven classrooms and over 60 children enrolled. Children's ages range from infant through prekindergarten (6 weeks through 5 years). The ideal candidate would be available at least a few hours Monday through Friday, or a few consistent days each week. There is also an opportunity for a full time, year round salaried auxiliary staff position with 90% reduced cost childcare and PTO benefits available to the right candidate. Part time staff are also granted PTO benefits and reduce childcare rates.


This position would mostly be scheduled for midday support, and would help out with lunches and provide breaks to teachers during rest time. If you have at least two years experience in this field, college-level education and are enthusiastic, with a positive attitude then we would love to meet you.

 

As a teacher, the employee must be at least 20 years old and meeting one the following:

 

·       Hold at least an associates degree in Early Childhood, Child/Human Services, Child/Human Development, Elementary Education, or Child/Family Services or;

·       Hold a VT Early Childhood Career Ladder level 3 certificate or;

·       Complete 21 college level credits with a focus in early education or related field or;

·       Hold a Child Care Certificate from CCV or;

·       Hold a Certificate of Completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program

 

2 years experience also required.

The Burlington Children's Space is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to work as part of a co-teaching team in a looping classroom.
